CBD Therapy - Medical Marijuana

Navigating the medical marijuana evaluation process in Utah can be complex. While medical cannabis is legal, the state’s Medical Cannabis Card system is still maturing. However, patients holding a valid Utah Medical Cannabis Card are eligible to purchase medical cannabis from any licensed medical cannabis pharmacy across the state. For more details and assistance with navigating the system, our knowledgeable providers at iVee Restorative Care are here to help.

It’s also daunting to discuss cannabis with a doctor, PA, or NP, especially when you’ve always thought of it as harmful, illegal, and addictive.

iVee Restorative Care is here to make this transition smoother and more comfortable for you.

What to bring to your medical cannabis appointment at iVee Restorative Care

To get your medical cannabis card, bring records from your current doctor’s office that show you have a qualifying condition. With this documentation, it is more likely that our healthcare providers will recommend that you receive a card.

Make sure to see a knowledgeable and supportive doctor, PA, or APRN who prioritizes your health. iVee Restorative Care will provide recommendations to help you find a good cannabis provider experienced with dosing and delivery systems for your condition.

Questions we may ask about your condition

When did your condition begin? How long has it been troubling you? Is the pain intermittent or constant? Describe the pain: does it burn, ache, throb, or nag? Are there other symptoms tied to the pain?

Does it cause nausea, disrupt your sleep, or make you anxious? How does it impact your daily life? Have you had any imaging, surgery, or other tests? What treatments have you tried? Medications, physical therapy, or consultations with doctors?

What happens after you qualify?

If you qualify and we agree that medical cannabis is a good option for your condition, you’ll receive a letter on the same day. This letter will permit you to possess and use cannabis in Utah legally.
